Rifles
1st Artillery 1812
*Note that I don't believe that any artillery men from the 1st Artillery fought in any battles in this uniform.
2nd and 3rd Foot Artillery
Most American foot artillery were 6 pounders, but they also had 12 and 18 pounders. Usually these were in batteries of 2 to 4 guns; 3 being a typical battery.
1812 to 1813
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Artillery 1814 to 1815
Light Artillery
*intended to be horse artillery but never had enough horses
Light artillery was either equipped with 4 pounders or 6 pounders.
The US guns were of French design but painted light blue. Barrels were black iron except howitzers or captured British guns which were bronze.
